Presently, Professor Panjab Singh is vice chancellor of Banaras Hindu University.It is the largest university in Asia having 3 institutes, 4 inter disciplinary centres, 124 departments and 6 centers of advanced studies. Several of its colleges, including Engineering, Agriculture, Law, Science and Medicine are ranked amongst the best in India. Faculty of science in BHU is one of the best faculties in Asian countries.
